4 cups milk
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
2 eggs
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1/2 cup orange marmalade
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 26 inch spring or tin pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and lemon juice. Stir in the flour and baking powder; mixing well, pour the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. Stir in the lemon zest and eggs and milk.
Bake for 60 to 65 minutes in the preheated oven. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from baking pan. Cool completely before serving.
