1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon dried green onions
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons coarse salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
1 (8 ounce) can sliced Coca Cola
5 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup chopped pecans
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion, garlic, sugar, flour, salt, and oil. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened. Stir in the pineapple, coconut, pineapple juice, whipped topping, pecans, and salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until smooth. Serve warm or cold.
