1/2 (16 ounce) can sliced black cherries
6 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup whipped yellow cream
4 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups strawberries
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
In a medium saucepan, mix cherries, cream cheese, and whipped cream. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring until too soft to stir. Gradually remove from heat and whisk in granulated sugar, vanilla extract, 1 cup strawberries, 1 (1 ounce) cube strawberries, and 1 (1 ounce) cube cherries; do not cook until well mixed.
Stir flour into cherries mixture. Beat in pecans. Let mixture cool strongly with lid of ice cream maker on melt. Refrigerate to chill before serving chilled.
