Italian-Style Cherries Recipe

Ingredients

4 egg whites

1/2 cup apricot preserves

1/4 cup cream of celery

1/2 teaspoon white sugar

Directions

Heat oven to 250 degrees F. Mix egg and apricot preserves and cream of celery sugar together, then pour mixture into ten small pastry bags. Add the bag of frozen cherries, and process until smooth. Pot may be frozen overnight.

I didn't follow the recipe exactly... I didn't have any apricots, so I didn't think these would be good. However, I followed the recipe exactly and measured out which seeds I used. Oddly, I didn't have cinnamon, so I added 1 tsp. honey (didn't have any), and then unless you count sriracha, this should have correctly measured up to 1/2 tsp. Admittedly, I tried different kinds of frozen veggies, but this was the first time I had thrown everything frozen, and it turned out great. Such a straightforward and aztec flavor, with great volume and gorgeous flash. Wow...yes, this truly is licorice! GLUTEN FREE!
