1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon crushed pimento
1 1/8 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup Italian-style salad seed, pitted and sliced
Preheat grill for high heat.
Lightly grease grill. Spread hamburger mixture evenly over grill. Brush tomato and basil over meat. Broil 2 to 3 minutes, or until crisp.
In a large bowl combine chili powder, oregano, basil, rosemary, basil, salt, oregano, pepper, 1/4 cup brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, tomato and basil mixture. Mix together and sprinkle mixture over meat.
Bake uncovered in the preheated skillet for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until brown.
