2 cups water
1/3 cup orange juice
1 cup lemon juice
1 cup lemon zest
1/3 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon blood orange zest
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup butter, melted
1 (21 ounce) can chopped black walnuts, drained
In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in orange juice; cool slightly.
In a small saucepan, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, orange juice, orange juice, blood orange zest, lemon peel, orange slices, and lemon zest. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour into a large resealable plastic bag or pan. Seal tightly and refrigerate.
