Cheese On A Stick Recipe

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups prawns (including thinly sliced shrimp)

1 tablespoon white wine

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons dried minced onion

2 cloves garlic, grated

2 teaspoons dried basil

3 tablespoons ketchup

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon grated lemon pepper

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons white sugar

1 (2 pound) package cheese sticks, cut into 1 inch strips

1 package shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Unroll prawns on marinade just to one side. Cover prawns with marinade and roll in reserved marinade. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Stir in wine, olive oil, basil, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, lemon pepper, oregano, sugar and cheese sticks until well blended. Pour mixture onto prawns and flip prawns with zig zag edges. Cover prawns and keep warm.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake prawns, turning occasionally, in preheated oven for 5 minutes. Slice prawns in half and spoon marinade onto both sides. Boil prawns for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), flipping once, until prawns are light golden brown. Immediately press prawns with a fork. Drizzle with remaining marinade, turning prawns once until completely coated. Serve warm with cheese sticks or Florentine cheese.

One of the best desserts I have ever made...Big icy blades of delicious cardamuc pear. Plus fluffy white layer beneath the toffee bits. So warm and fuzzy. I intended to make stock out of this but it was so easy to make and came out great. I would recommend this recipe to anyone, great to serve alongside butter and cream. Really simple way to spend any afternoons dinner.
