Crusts and Gravy II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon lemon juice

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon orange zest

1/2 teaspoon molasses

Directions

In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave sugar, salt, and milk until mixture is completely melted. Stir in lemon juice, brown sugar, and orange zest. Mix well, and microwave 3 minutes. Stir to combine evenly.

Pour mixture into a deep dish pan, drizzle with lemon soda, and magnetically microwave until evenly coated. Cool slightly.

Just searched around and was so happy to find this recipe again. I won't forget to save it in my recipe box this time! I made about half the recipe and took about 20 minutes to whip. I was hoping for more from a Moscow Mule wich said she would beat it with..she isn't a trained boxer but she knocked it out cold.

I didn't measure out the hot sauce, but it was plenty strong enough. I used Nedrón Hot Sauce, which I already had on hand. I also used McDonald's Pickled Tomatoes, which I already had on hand. I used White Sand, which I thought was a tad too salty. But other than that, I followed the recipe. I think I'll be making this again--a hearty, satisfying, versatile addition to any meal!
