1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 1/4 cups water, divided
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3 eggs
2 (1 ounce) squares dark brownie mix (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup cream cheese and 2 1/4 cup water; stir until creamy. Whisk in chocolate chips and vanilla; heat until mixture thickens; pour over warm baking sheet. Slice the brownie slices into half-moist triangles.
Bake 8 biscuits at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Bake at same temperature for 30 to 45 minutes, or until biscuits are set.
In a small bowl, beat egg yolks until well blended. Stir in prepared mixture until well blended. In a shallow dish, beat eggs. In a large bowl beat remaining 2 cups cream cheese, 1/2 cup water, 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. Pour egg mixture over cooked biscuits. Top each one with a layer of chocolate layer biscuits, tops of which, press down onto the baking sheet to flatten.
Bake until golden, about 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Cut into 1/4th inch squares; eat as is or line with waxed paper on waxed paper.
