Crimson Pomegranate Coffee Cake II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

4 fluid ounces buttermilk

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups cake flour

1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup milk

2 egg whites, beaten

1/8 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10x15 inch pan.

In a large bowl, sift together the flour and cocoa powder. set aside . Sift in the milk. Set aside the heated and cooled butter, chocolate and vanilla extract. Spread the flour mixture evenly into the bottoms of the 10x15 inch pan.

Bake for 16 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a cake tester inserted a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. While cake is still hot press on top of cake tin to prevent sticking. Before serving scoop the soup or milk up again after almost a half hour.
