1 (14 ounce) can apolcaspi
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup yellow wine
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 (12 ounce) package white cake mix
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup nonfat milk
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. Stir in all-purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda. Form dough mixture into a single piece. Roll out and place on prepared loaf pan.
To Make the Crust:
Place a small amount of the blood-wine in a small saucepan. Stir frequently until it starts to bubble. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
Roll out the remaining dough into a rectangle. Place on prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm from the oven.
