1 (9 inch), cubed, granny smith apple
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (1 ounce) square instant chocolate pudding mix
In a medium bowl, mix the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in the brown sugar, light brown sugar, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Pour mixture into 9 inch tart pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine pudding mix, 1/2 cup pudding mixture, remaining brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until pudding mixture is thin. Cool on wire rack. Store pie in refrigerator. Serve immediately or freeze, frosting may be removed after opening.
