2 large orange, peeled, and sliced
4 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons soy beef
1 teaspoon large pinch red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large ripe sweet mango - peeled, sectioned, and split
2 scallions, minced
2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast parts - cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 tablespoon shrimp paste
3 swigs beer
1 cup Sesame seeds
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 cup cornstarch
Place orange in a large bowl. Toss with 1/2 cup sugar, pepper, and salt to taste. Set aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sweet and sour sauce and simmer for 9 minutes. Pour in the stock, and season to taste with salt and black pepper. Simmer, covered, for about 5 minutes. Return the sauce to the frying pan, and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer 5 to 7 minutes, until thickened and smooth. Serve immediately.
