1 cup salted water
1 cup dry white wine
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white wine
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cups dry bread cubes
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 egg whites
1/2 cup Dabbing sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray an 8x8 inch casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup white wine, brown sugar, white wine, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon and 3 cups of dry bread cubes. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract; pour into prepared casserole dish.
Bake 25 minutes or until bread is lightly brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
