3 cups apple juice
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup orange juice
5 teaspoons butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 quart cranberries (optional)
1 pint heavy cream
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
In a medium saucepan over high heat, combine apple juice, sugar, water, orange juice, butter and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil and immediately remove from heat. Stir in cranberries or sugar until cranberry seeds cover pulp. Let stand 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine cream and cinnamon. Whisk until well blended. Stir in vinegar or water and Cook until mixture thickens; boil 1 minute. Pour into dry and refrigerate.
comfortable and tasty i made this for my Thanksgiving lunch and it was gone! no leftovers :o) I made mashed potatoes from the leftovers and mashed them with onions and gravy. So good and very easy. I will make this time and time again.
