Mom's Baked Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

3 cups macaroni

1 cup heavy cream

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 cup milk

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and rinse with cold water. Rinse with cold water and place in large bowl.

Cook macaroni according to package directions for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain and reserve.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, pour cream of mushroom soup in water, stirring well. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in milk, cream of mushroom soup and cook until very thickened, about 4 minutes. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and salt and pepper to taste. Spoon macaroni mixture into baking dish and top with remaining macaroni.

Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
