Old Fashioned Uzbek Sausage Soup Recipe

Ingredients

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

4 pounds beef cubed

5 onions, chopped

1 cup chicken broth

1 (14.3 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes

1 (8 ounce) can heavy cream

Directions

In an 8x8 inch casserole dish or roasting pan, heat oil over a medium heat. Brown beef cubes in skillet and remove excess oil; drain.

Proceed to cook, stirring constantly, until onion is tender and onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, heavy cream and seasoning salt to taste. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, until thick, about 3 minutes.

Other reviewers' criticisms of this recipe, that it lacked seasoning, was spot-on. I seasoned the pizza with a little salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning--just a little. I also added pesto and basil. So good, and super easy.
