Portable Oven Mug Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups white sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup nonfat milk

1 cup buttermilk

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch square pan. Sift together the flour, salt and butter. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, cream together 2/3 cup of sugar and flour. Beat in the milk and buttermilk. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool completely before serving.

I really like this recipe. I used white rum and half and half. It would have been way too sweet so I'd double up on the sugar and leave everything else as is.

I'm walking away impressed. This cake was very easy to make and came out beautiful. I am not sure why, but it was very easy. I did the neck and first 30 seconds and then the gills. Since I had on hand, I put the rest back in the oven and assumed the cake would be quick and easy. It waserrrryyyyy too good to be true! Thanks for the great recipe!!!
