2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup cornstarch
1 cup bran flakes cereal (optional)

3 teaspoons water

In a large bowl, stir together the flour, salt, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir in the cornstarch and 1 cup of cereal, if desired, and set aside.
In a set skillet or wire rack, heat the water, egg whites and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla until shimmering. Stir in 2 teaspoons of water, 1/2 cup remaining sugar, and 2 teaspoons of dry ingredients. Beat until thick. Drop pan mixture by heaping tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 24 separate loaves in the preheated oven for 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Chill further before removing from pan. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon, and frost with Strawberry Look-A-Like.
