2 onions, chopped
2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups canned tomato
1 cup tomatoesauce
2 tablespoons dried basil
In a small saucepan bring water to a boil. Add salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Add celery and tomato and stir well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add salt and pepper and stir until almost done. Stir in tomato and tomatoesauce and basil and serve immediately.
