12 small bones
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup dry milk
1 cup water
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Mix together cup of butter, flour, and salt. Pour in water until mixture isn't covered.
Fill the cavity of a slow cooker with a bit of water. Slide a bone of pork into the water. Cook on Low 1 minute; raise heat to High and simmer until bones start to soften, 2 to 4 minutes. Stir in milk. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to Low. Stir in water (do not over-stir). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer 30 minutes.
