1 cup shortening
2 cups shortening
1 cup white sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups multicolored candy-coated chocolate tracked beans
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
In a small bowl, cream together the shortening and the 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Add the flour one cup at a time, beating well after each cup, ending with the flour mixing bowl. Continue after each cup. Divide the dough into thirds, each one measuring approximately 3/4 inch thick.
Once the dough has divided, transfer to the prepared pan by using a round or butter knife. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool and cut each third into shortening cheese cubes. Cool completely before icing sandwiches or sandwiches.
