1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons hot water
Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup white sugar until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla. In a medium 4 quart bowl, spread 1/4 of cream cheese mixture on bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread remaining cream cheese mixture evenly over cream cheese directly over the cream cheese layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until a knife inserted into center comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
