1 (2 ounce) package dry active dry yeast
1 egg
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup white sugar
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon orange zest
In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in 2 tablespoon of olive oil. Trust me, the flavor will be heavenly. Let rise in a warm place until creamy, about 1 hour.
In a large bowl, combine sugar, salt, and orange rind. Add acid and continue to stir until well blended. Add zest and let stand 30 minutes.
The PERFECT Quiche recipe!! I did leave out the peppers, just because I'm not a fan. I added a slight sprinkle of nutmeg, but not enough to measure. I loved it and will make it again!
I have tried this recipe and it is excellent. My husband loves pickled things and this is the best he has ever had. I have also tried bourbon and baked potatoes and all three were edible but the texture was very slight. Would use a little less sugar but that wouldnt really hurt. It was super easy to make and took few minutes to whip up. I will make this time and time again.
