2 (9 inch) pie crusts
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 cup powdered eggnog
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round pie pans.
In a medium bowl, cream together butter, sugar, cornstarch and powdered eggnog until smooth. Beat in vanilla extract, confectioners' sugar and cocoa powder. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack and store in refrigerator.
I made this for my family (children included) holy smokes this is the best sauce i have ever had and im thinking of using it on turkey aswell as peas and sobsers. im using it for easter egg hunt and we will make it again
