1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated cheese flavored breakfast mix
1 (9-inch) zucchini, chopped
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut into strips
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 cup milk
2 cups bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine the cheese breakfast mix and zucchini in a double boiler. Over the hot water, stir or boil until smooth. Remove from heat, and pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Layer the cream cheese, shortening, egg, and salt in a single layer over the zucchini, followed by the milk. Continue adding these, one cup at a time, and the milk should be added so you have a perfect syrup. Use the spoon to distribute the mixture evenly over the sausage layer. Pick the crumbs so you have a well separated layer.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Slide the top to cool, then the paper wrap in the freezer.
