3/4 cup powdered peppercorn or black pepper salt
1 egg
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a large bowl, mix powdered peppercorn or pepper salt with egg, sugar, salt and oil. Mix until smooth. Arrange mixture in the bottom of a large glass or metal bowl or to a single layer if you prefer, and cover with additional plastic wrap to prevent spillage. Refrigerate overnight.
After the meringue has risen, gently mix in vanilla and peppercorn/spice mixture. Chill overnight, stirring occasionally, until set but not too stiff. Cover and let cool to room temperature. Decorate with candy or fruit snacks.
