2 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan heat brown sugar until just pale brown. Stir in milk, vanilla, almond extract and almond extract. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture is thickened. Remove from heat. Pour mixture into a cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 to 22 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool slightly on the baking sheet. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
