Pinacchios Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup olive oil

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1 1/2 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs

1 egg, beaten

3 tablespoons Mayo

1 cup chopped onion

2 tablespoons chopped green onions

1 medium green bell pepper, seeded

1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1/2 in strips

1 medium red onion, diced

1 bay leaf

5 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Directions

Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Make sure there are no brown spots, or you will burn. Saute garlic powder and white sugar over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Stir in oil slowly, whisking constantly, just until sugar dissolves, and olive oil is slightly golden. Make sure the flour is used sparingly. Cover skillet and continue cooking for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly between each addition.

Remove bay leaf, and set aside. Add the remaining 1/2 cup olive oil, brown sugar and egg to the skillet. Mix together, stirring constantly, over medium heat. Remove sauce by spoonfuls. Return to skillet, and stir everything, until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Working slow, mixture should be slightly thickened by the lemon juice. Cook, stirring, for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring until all ingredients are thoroughly combined, and the flour is a pleasant syrup. Serve hot or cold.
