1 1/2 cups applesauce
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
1 dash ground cloves
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 10x15 inch baking pan with nonstick spray spray.
In a large bowl, combine applesauce, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and corn syrup. Stir together.
In a separate bowl, mix sugar, butter and vanilla. Mix into apple mixture. Pour mixture into prepared pie pan.
Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until set. Turn off oven and allow to cool completely.
Pour apple mixture into pie crust. Chill overnight and cut into squares or squares.
