1 cup butter
3 egg yolks
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Blend together the butter or margarine, egg yolks and sugar, using your hands or a pastry blender.
Press yolks into the bottom of a 9 inch square dish.
Mix egg whites and milk; drizzle over yolk mixture.
Place butter on top of two or three eggs. Fill yolk coating with milk mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 35 to 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 10 minutes. Serve warm.
