White Pepper Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons margarine

2 teaspoons salt

1 tablespoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried basil

4 tablespoons vegetable oil

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cooked, cut side down

1 teaspoon white sugar

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground dry mustard

Directions

Melt margarine in a 1 quart saucepan over medium heat. Saute thyme, salt, basil, oil and pepper until tender. Stir in sugar, paprika, oregano and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Stir in chicken and simmer until fully cooked. Simmer 30 to 45 minutes, or until chicken is tender and all liquid is absorbed.

I really liked this!!! It was super easy & quick. A couple of changes I made: 1) I used 2 sweet potatoes & 2 red potatoes. 2) I sauteed garlic in 1 Tbsp of butter & 1 tsp of garlic powder. 3) I omitted the feta cheese. 4) I used half white miso paste & 1 tsp of orange zest. 5) I omitted the spring onions. 6) I used frozen vegetable broth. Success!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
