Owner's Belgian Wien Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup water

2 1/4 cups beer

2 1/2 cups white wine

2 1/2 cups rye bread cubes

1/4 cup low sugar

5 tablespoons salt (optional)

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

6 tablespoons butter, melted

1 can pears

Directions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine water, beer, white wine, rye bread cubes and salt and cinnamon and season with nutmeg and 2 tablespoons melted butter. Heat, but do not boil, for one minute. Stir carefully until all ingredients have cooled.
