2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups lean ground beef
3 cups water
1 medium head cabbage, shredded
1 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
5 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
3 cups white wine
3 pounds small sweet potatoes
4 bay leaves
1/2 cup olive oil
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 small salt turtle, rinsed and chopped
1 cup celery, diced
3 small tomatoes, chopped
1 (4 ounce) can tomato paste
1/3 cup water
Melt oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown beef and add water; cook until done. Stir in cabbage and pepper and saute for 5 minutes.
Mix together whole onion and garlic, wine, crushed tomatoes and tomatoes; reduce heat to medium-high and simmer for 20 minutes or until thickened. Stir in drained pork and celery. Stir in tomato paste, water, Worcestershire sauce and salt turtle.
Garnish with crumbled bacon and tomato paste and serve.
