1 cup dry white wine
1 cup water
2 cups vegetable
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup beef broth
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
14 cups fresh green beans, rinsed and trimmed
1 1/2 pounds ground pork
3/4 pound ground ham
salt and pepper to taste
In a large skillet over medium heat, add enough water to cover the bottom of the pan to cover the bottom completely. Boil the wine, water, vegetable, and beef broth, stirring occasionally until well blended.
While the liquid is heating, bring the pot of broth to a boil and add the ground pork and ground ham. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer 10 to 15 minutes, or until all the pork is absorbed. Divide the cooked meat and sauce evenly among the greens. Toss the beans with the milk or butter, and serve.
