1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
3 tablespoons Italian-style seasoning
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
3/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two 8x8 inch baking dish rims.
In a small mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, eggs, milk, cheese, Swiss cheese, Italian-style seasoning, basil, oregano and oregano. Spread mixture into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining ingredients over cake, pressing each piece gently into the top.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes. Turn off oven. Bake for another 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. (Note: Keep an eye on the cream cheese mixture while baking as it can burn!) Allow to cool completely before serving.
My kids thought this was the greatest thing to come out of the slow cooker. I put mine in the crockpot and cooked them for 10 minutes, then took them out and melted the butter in the oven. It turned out perfectly!! I will definitely make this again.
