2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3 tablespoons ground black pepper
5 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Brown garlic and pepper; stir.
Add sugar, salt, brown sugar, vinegar and butter; stir. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low. Simmer 45 minutes. Stir in balsamic vinegar. Heat through; stir in melted butter. Serve over cooked rice and vegetables.
