Bacon Wisconsin Style Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound bacon, crumbled

1/2 cup butter, melted

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 teaspoons rum extract

50 slices Swiss cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Cut one medium piece of bacon into 1/2 inch strips. Place strips in 1 1 quart casserole dish.

In a small mixing bowl whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, rum and cheese. Pour over bacon strips and sprinkle with green cheese. Sprinkle with bacon grease, if desired.

Place cheese slices on bottom of greased baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until bacon is crisp and cheese is melted.
