1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup dry bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
To Make Crust: Stir together 2 teaspoons flour and 1 cup buttermilk. Whisk in bread crumbs and 2 teaspoons shallot. Stir for five minutes or until all flour is incorporated.
Pinch sugar from powdered sugar; stir into flour/buttermilk mixture. Form dough into a ball. Divide dough into two portions and wrap each portion individually in plastic wrap. Place onto unprepared baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
To Make Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, beat together 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 1/2 teaspoons flour, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 cup buttermilk, 2 tablespoons buttermilk... stirring to combine. Spoon batter into a 3 quart baking dish.
Meanwhile, in an griddle over medium heat, combine 1/4 cup buttermilk, 1/2 teaspoons flour, sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and 2 tablespoons buttermilk. Cook, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil. Continue to cook mixture until thick. Cool, then stir in 1 teaspoon flour, vodka and milk. Fill containers about 2/3 full, and bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
