1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
3 cups chopped chocolate pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, combine white sugar, water, milk, vanilla extract and chocolate chips. Make a well in the center and pour in the chocolate syrup and peanut butter. Beat until smooth and pour into the prepared pan. Press peanut butter between two bars of waxed paper.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until an instant coffee or chocolate thermometer reads 170 degrees F (80 degrees C). Cool slightly before cutting into bars. Cut 4 bars for an even more intense flavor.
