2 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup margarine
4 egg shells, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup corn syrup
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Using an electric food processor, blend apples into a 9x9 inch dish and spread evenly across. Press in syrup with fingers, and gently pat butter around edges onto apples. Place egg shells in front of apples. Place 1 tablespoon brown sugar on both sides of apple layers. Place 2 tablespoons margarine in center of pastry; spoon mixture to edges of pastry. Fold pen around edge; pinch rim.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until apples are tender. Let cool somewhat before serving. Cover loosely with aluminum foil. When cool, store in refrigerator.
