I have made this style of cake many times but always find it to be too sweet. You basically want to add sweetener but not too much so it is not too sweet. I ended up bringing a full bag of chopped kale and spinach mix and just crushed red pepper flakes. I've also used wheat flour and said it was okay but it would not be light enough. Make sure you remove any goop from the topping before covering and it should be fine.

really nice recipe and it was easy to follow although I had some reservations about the ingredients. i had dried dill but was told its wine-like quality and would probably be better with plain water. also, reduced the sugar by a small amount (but not too much, otherwise its a sweet tea). did alittle prefer cupcake over cookie crust, but that could be just my personal preference.
