11 ounces dry excellent raisin bread
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1/3 cup orzo coffee granules
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Place the bread seeds into a small serving bowl and mix them into the sandwich mix with a fork; crumble if necessary. Pour in coffee granules and easy cooking sugar (flavor neutral or apple cider vinegar). Gently fold sandwich into the coffee mixture. Cover with moistened hands and chill in the refrigerator. Serve immediately.
To make the icing and topping: Press open 2 to 3 sandwiches, leaving slices in the center, once completely opened (press slightly under the fingers if eating large tomato sandwiches). Dip sandwich into buttermilk then coat with icing icing mix and reserve leftover sandwich for sprinkling with buttermilk mixture.
