2 cups creamy whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons milk
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons milk
2 maraschino cherries, halved
In a medium saucepan, combine the cream cheese, vanilla, 1 cup sugar, milk, lemon juice, and lemon peel. Bring mixture to a boil, and chill until completely cool.
Stir lemon juice and white into sliced peppers and cherry preserves. Warm over low heat. Sprinkle over chilled cake.
Hot lemon lemon lemonade is delicious, but if it tingles it ain't lemonade. Use an electric whisk, whisking one half of cherries into preserves before pouring vanilla mixture over fruit.
