1/4 cup butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
8 green onions, chopped
3 tablespoons honey
1 (1 pound) whole chicken, cubed
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
2 cups grain-free flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (10 ounce) can minced clams, drained
1 (2.25 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O mix
1 cup boiling water
1 (16 ounce) can sliced fresh mushrooms, drained
1 cup chopped celery
Place butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir together garlic, green onions, honey and sugar until well blended.
Stir chicken into sauce, cover and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Return chicken to skillet and brown on all sides. Add flour, salt, clams, strawberry jelly and boiling water; mix well. Cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove chicken from sauce, cool and drain or throw it in to freezer, reserving 1/2 cup liquid (if desired). Return chicken to sauce mixture. Stir well and pour over chicken. Season with mushrooms, celery and onion.
