8 to 10 uncooked white mushrooms
3/4 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan. Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder; set aside.
Combine eggs, vanilla extract, salt and brown sugar; set aside.
Pour batter into the prepared pan. Spread evenly into the bottom and 6 inches up the sides of the pan, to about 1/2 inch thick. Press edges of each piece with a fork to make a circle.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 35 minutes. Remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. If brownies stick, peel from bags. Mix brownies with remaining flour, place on a plate and press lightly to seal. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
