1/3 cup butter
1 tablespoon baking powder
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
4 eggs
3 cups buns-cornered wheat, no oil
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons margarine, melted (1/2 cup)
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, baking powder, corn vinegar, eggs, and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix flour mixture, baking soda and vanilla. Stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in margarine and spread details in top and bottom of greased greased 12x9 inch cake pan.
Bake in preheated oven for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Immediately reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Allow to cool completely. Lightly sprinkle the tops of the chocolate cake with sugar to prevent leaking. Cool completely before cutting into pieces. 1 tablespoon melted margarine for sprinkling with frosting.
