1/3 cup peanut oil
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons dried Italian-style seasoning
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1 (12 ounce) can barbecue sauce
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Pour peanut oil and vegetable oil into a large saucepan. Stir in cornstarch with salt and dried Italian-style seasoning. Mix thoroughly.
Pour in cornstarch mixture and salt mixture. Increase heat to medium-high.
Stir in barbecue sauce, Cheddar cheese and Cheddar cheese. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer 1 hour more.
Stir liquid into a small bowl. Pour mixture over hot dog batter. Serve hot.
