4 slices whole wheat
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease a 10x15 inch jelly-roll pan.
Place the whole wheat in a large skillet or frying pan. Fry over high heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from skillet and drain oil.
Meanwhile, in a small, glass bowl, combine the butter, honey, granulated sugar, lemon juice, vinegar, baking soda, and salt. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate until ready to serve.
