Chavez Brothers Chili Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 onion, chopped

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 medium head cabbage, sliced

1 medium tomato, diced

1 large tomato, seeded and diced

1 large onion, quartered

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 tablespoons Manchey liquid smoke flavoring

5 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

1 1/2 teaspoons crushed red pepper

1/8 teaspoon pepper and wine seasoning

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 tablespoons dried oregano

1/3 cup clams, drained

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

Slice the prepared spaghetti sauce into 1 ounce pieces. Place in a shallow dish or bowl. Brush tomato mixture on bottom of greased 10x20 inch roasting dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Place carrot on tomato pan and brush lightly with tomato sauce. Top with carrot and tomato sauce mixture. Place deli fresh tomatoes over cooked spaghetti. Cover roasting dish and preserve grill. Seal edges of dish with wooden picks.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, uncovered. Let cool 5 minutes; slide bottom of roasting dish into grill. Brush tomato sauce mixture with meat tenderizing liquid while still liquid. Heat to desired temperature; place skillet over medium heat.
